Kabloom is the creation of Darren Wilson. During his studies in 3D Design and Craft at university he decided to focus his attention on eco-friendly design. Finding that this specific area of design had precious few good products on the market at the time, he took it upon himself to design something new. The concept of the Guerrilla Gardening Seedbom began.

Kabloom's seedboms are environmentally friendly, support wildlife and look beautiful when blooming. Designed for interaction and inspired by our innate need for a relationship with nature in the urban environment. They are so easy to use for all ages. Besides, who doesn’t like a bit of flower power?

Darren looked into the root of the apparent modern problem - a disassociation with nature. The mission? To design a product that got people outside and create nature in their cities and homes. It was also very important to design products that weren’t going to end up in landfill someday. How do you achieve this? Either design something so desirable it would be passed on through generations or design something that would destroy itself and have a second life to be reborn through plant life.

Kabloom invite you to join forces with nature to transform unloved spaces with a blast of life and colour. Each Seedbom is filled with an explosive mix of organic peat-free compost and wildflower or herb seeds. They are easy to use. You don’t need to be a gardener and there‘s no need to plant them. Seedboms split open upon impact with the ground and grow where they land. You can help sustain bee, butterfly and other important insect populations by growing nectar rich wildflowers. Seedboms are made with a 100% recycled paper shell, organic peat-free compost, non-GMO seeds and 100% recycled and recyclable glue free cardboard packaging. The Seedbom paper shells help retain moisture and biodegrade into the environment leaving only plants behind.
