goSIP Biodegradable Rice Husk Coffee Cup 14oz (400ml) - Marrakesh
100% biodegradable, melamine-free reusable coffee cup
Join the revolution! These reusable cups contain no melamine or other plastics, and are BPA and toxin free, so nothing nasty to leach into your drink.
Made from 100% recycled material. Rice husks are a waste product from farming rice. Untreated rice husk needs to be burned in order to disappear and that is terribly bad for the environment. Recycled rice husk, however, is biodegradable, meaning if you put it in the ground it will eventually dissolve. It also uses 70% less CO2 to produce than conventional tableware.
Have your tea, coffee or cold drinks on the go with our travel cup made from natural rice husk. Look after it and it will last for years.
Rice husk cups are genuinely biodegradable as they do not contain melamine which is a plastic. Comes with a silicone sleeve and lid (silicone is not biodegradable but is non-toxic and recyclable).
When you are ready to dispose of this cup, soak it in water overnight, crush and bury it in compost or soil. It will start to biodegrade in soil within six months.
The cup is packaged in a cardboard gift box which explains product sustainability, advantages over bamboo cups, and final disposal.

More Rice Husk Facts
Rice husk is a naturally strong material, built of a naturally occurring silica that can help strengthen building structures. This means it can be used in things like cinder blocks, brickwork, and other building materials and it won’t collapse in on itself.
It resists moisture penetration - one of the qualities that makes it so good as a coffee cup!
The best thing about recycled rice husk is that it’s completely renewable. It can be reused again and again, and it won’t wear down. It’s incredibly resilient and can be used for a multitude of things. Better than this is that it’s cheaper than wood chips and completely termite resistant 💚
