How to use: You will want to dampen your whetstone just prior to sharpening your knives. This would mean dampening it with water for 20-30 minutes beforehand. You can also leave it to soak in a small bath of water. Whilst sharpening your knife/knives be sure that your whetstone never becomes dry.
It is important to wash your stone with water after each use, to remove the excess material and debris. After washing, dry the stone well with a cloth. It's important to let the stone air-dry overnight before storing it.
