Plastic-free scourers for your sustainable kitchen
A completely natural and sustainable solution to all your household cleaning needs.
This pack of two scouring scrub pads is biodegradable, naturally antibacterial and highly durable. They are ethically made in Sri Lanka from coconut fibre (or coir) and natural tapped tree rubber.
Coir is a natural fibre extracted from between the hard internal shell of the coconut and the outer coat of the coconut. As well as being totally natural, the scourers are naturally antibacterial, free from toxic chemicals, recyclable and biodegradable.
They are non-scratch, so are suitable for non-stick frying pan, great on hard surfaces like the cooker hob or stove top, and safe for enamel sinks and baths. Designed to get into the har-to-reach places.
To top it all off they are completely plastic free, right down to the packing - a simple card box!
Size: 10cm x 12cm x 0.7cm thick
Care: Hand wash in warm, soapy water, rinse after each use and store in a dry place. You may notice some loose fibres or ‘dust’ on the first few uses as this is a natural product but this will reduce over time.
EcoCoconut is an Australian brand created to give people the opportunity to choose biodegradable and sustainable coconut based products over plastic. They believe the next generation care about the amount of plastic waste we produce, and that choice empowers us to make informed decisions to help save our planet from environmental disaster.
EcoCoconut use sustainably farmed coconut fibre to make this product. Coconut fibre is a byproduct of the coconut harvesting process. It is considered a renewable and sustainable product since new crops of coconuts can be regrown repeatedly on the same trees.
EcoCoconut work directly with a manufacturer in Sri Lanka who have won multiple awards for eco manufacturing. The manufacturer has been trading for over 135 years and is a specialist in coir based products - a material that has been part of Sri Lankan daily life for centuries.
With every EcoCoconut purchase you are actively contributing to providing clean drinking water to communities in need.
