Your Plastic Free Period solution - washable & sustainable

WUKA Basics Hipster Period Pants look and feel like your regular underwear, but have the power to absorb your period flow.

Sustainable periods are not a luxury. Completely leak-proof, WUKA Basics can be used for at least 2 years, preventing over 200 disposables from going to landfill with every pair. Wear, wash, reuse.

The same WUKA quality but made in higher volume and fewer styles so the savings can be passed onto you.

WUKA award-winning Period Pants are your complete tampon and pad replacement, wear a pair up to 8 hours on all but your heaviest days. 100% organic, vegan, reusable and sustainable!

Period pants look and feel like your regular underwear but they are leakproof underwear, which means you don't have to wear a pad, a tampon or menstrual cup if you wear them during your period.

These WUKA Medium Basics period pants hold at least 15ml of period flow or light leaks - around 2-3 tampons worth. Great for both light and medium flow, days and nights. They are a hipster brief style.

WUKA Basics Hipster period pants are certified by the Better Cotton Initiative. The cotton used is produced by farmers who care for the environment and minimise the negative effects of fertilisers and pesticides. They also care for the water, soil health and natural habitats, producing the most sustainable cotton for these pants as possible.

WUKA are vegan approved and registered with the Vegan Society.

Designed for your menstruating body, WUKA period pants are super soft and body hugging with plenty of coverage for reassurance. WUKA allows you free-flow avoiding the internal drying and health risks of tampons.

WUKA can be used for many purposes from periods to postpartum discharge, endometriosis flow and bladder leaks.

Sizing: For sizes 4-20. Please refer to the size guide picture. Sizes are generous and fabrics soft & stretchy, opt for the smaller size if you are between sizes. For your hip measurement, measure the largest part of your hips (the fullest part of your bottom).

The XXS, XS and S sizes are perfect for tweens and teens experiencing their first periods.

Care: Always rinse after use to prevent staining. Hand or machine wash at 40°.

As the underwear has several layers, it takes a longer time to dry than lingerie. Ensure that your underwear has gone through full spin. This decreases the time to dry your underwear. For quick drying results, give it an extra spin. You can also put your underwear in the airing cupboard, by the radiator or dry in the sun.

No tumble drying, no fabric softener.

Please note: For health and hygiene reasons, we are unable to accept the return of underwear for exchange or refund.

The average woman has her period once a month for 40 years of her life, meaning she spends 6.5 years of her life on her period. It’s estimated that the average woman will use over 10,000 disposable menstrual products during her lifetime. Some brands of disposable sanitary pads are made up of 90% plastic, which is about the same amount as four carrier bags. Many products are (incorrectly!) flushed down the toilet so they end up directly in our waterways.

Choose to reuse, saving the planet and your purse.

WUKA use ethical manufacturers so their workers get fair wages, working hours and social benefits. The super-absorbent fabric is also manufactured in the UK ensuring it's of the highest quality.
