Your Plastic Free Period solution - washable & sustainable - a pad & tampon all-in-one
WUKA award-winning Period Pants are your complete tampon and pad replacement, wear a pair up to 8 hours on all but your heaviest days. 100% organic, vegan, reusable and sustainable!
Period pants look and feel like your regular underwear but they are leakproof underwear, which means you don't have to wear a pad, a tampon or menstrual cup if you wear them during your period.
WUKA Period pants come in all flows (heavy, medium and light flow) with some underwear thicker in the gusset than your normal pants. You can bleed straight into them and they won't leak through to your clothes.
These WUKA Medium period pants hold at least 15ml of period flow or light leaks - around 2-3 tampons worth. Great for both light and medium flow, days and nights. They are a high waist style.
The fabrics used in WUKA pants are derived from Beech tree fibres! Kind to the planet and your body. They are made from luxurious, soft and stretchy Lenzing® MicroModal fabric that is CO2 neutral and 3.5 times softer than fine cotton, with up to 45% stretch at the waist, so you stay comfortable and supported even when putting up with that all-so-common tummy bloating. Combined with WUKA's super absorbent hi-tech fabric and a breathable moisture barrier, these pants are uniquely period proof.
WUKA are vegan approved and registered with the Vegan Society.
One WUKA replaces at least 100 tampons or pads from polluting the planet. Switch from menstrual cups to WUKA for a simpler time of the month.
Designed for your menstruating body, WUKA period pants are super soft and body hugging with plenty of coverage for reassurance. WUKA allows you free-flow avoiding the internal drying and health risks of tampons.
WUKA can be used for many purposes from periods to postpartum discharge, endometriosis flow and bladder leaks.
Sizing: For sizes 6-20. Please refer to the size guide picture. Sizes are generous and fabrics soft & stretchy, opt for the smaller size if you are between sizes. For your hip measurement, measure the largest part of your hips (the fullest part of your bottom).
The XS and S sizes are perfect for tweens and teens experiencing their first periods.
Care: Always rinse after use to prevent staining. Hand or machine wash at 40°.
As the underwear has several layers, it takes a longer time to dry than lingerie. Ensure that your underwear has gone through full spin. This decreases the time to dry your underwear. For quick drying results, give it an extra spin. You can also put your underwear in the airing cupboard, by the radiator or dry in the sun.
No tumble drying, no fabric softener.
Please note: For health and hygiene reasons, we are unable to accept the return of underwear for exchange or refund.
The average woman has her period once a month for 40 years of her life, meaning she spends 6.5 years of her life on her period. It’s estimated that the average woman will use over 10,000 disposable menstrual products during her lifetime. Some brands of disposable sanitary pads are made up of 90% plastic, which is about the same amount as four carrier bags. Many products are (incorrectly!) flushed down the toilet so they end up directly in our waterways.
Choose to reuse, saving the planet and your purse.
WUKA use ethical manufacturers so their workers get fair wages, working hours and social benefits. The super-absorbent fabric is also manufactured in the UK ensuring it's of the highest quality.
WUKA Period Pants are made up of 4 layers of fabric:
Inner/Outer fabrics: are made of soft, breathable, moisture wicking and luxurious Lenzing ® MicroModal fabric.
Central layers: include an absorbent layer that is uniquely used in WUKA underwear that absorbs blood and interlocks it.
WUKA Heavy has antibacterial properties and can hold 4 tampons worth of blood (at least) which is more than any other product available today. This is around 20ml. You can wear this one for around 8 hours or overnight.
WUKA Medium can hold 3 tampons worth of blood (at least). This is around 15ml.
WUKA Light can hold 1 tampons worth of blood (at least). This is around 5-7ml.
Leak proof layer: This is the layer that prevents the blood from passing through the underwear but allows airflow so is breathable and prevents sweating.
