Regular single-use cling film is near impossible to recycle, meaning the majority of it ends up in landfills where it will take hundreds of years to degrade. The main use for cling film is to cover up food products, however, is also used to cover up fresh tattoos, paintbrushes and more.
All of these can be done with Eco Green Living’s new 100% compostable bio food wrap. This cling film alternative is 100% certified compostable, meaning it will degrade to compost within 6 months versus the hundreds of years it takes for the plastic in cling film. It was a Grocer New Product Award Finalist 2021.
Cling film also ends up in our seas, eventually degrading to microplastics that appear in our seafood. This eco alternative is made from 97% PBAT and 3% PLA. These are completely natural plant-based materials, meaning you can feel safe knowing you are not wrapping your food with chemicals from plastic. The outer packaging is made from recycled cardboard and non-toxic glues.
