Made from recycled plastic, this turtle toy wears their heart on their sleeve - or rather, their shell on their back. The biggest threat to their life in the ocean is plastic pollution, and each purchase helps to keep more of it out of our ecosystems. They are also susceptible to loss of habitats through coastal development and being caught in commercial fishing nets as well as changing climates. 

These small, fluffy friends are great ways of raising awareness of the problems that humans can cause to our oceans, and are a great reminder to people that we must try hard to conserve our marine life. Turtles deserve to have a safe home out at sea and so do these cuddly versions too.

Did you know? 14 water bottles create enough fibre to make this 25cm soft toy! What a great way to repurpose waste. The bottles are shredded, crushed and melted to create yarn which is woven to create the base fabric.

The making of these beautiful toys has helped to recycle and repurpose more than 100 million water bottles. Considering many of the animals in this range have been affected by the manufacture and disposal of plastic, we think this is an amazing way to break the harmful cycle and raise awareness at the same time!

Keeleco is the 100% recycled range from Keel Toys. These toys are manufactured and stuffed with 100% recycled polyester from plastic waste. Weighted with recycled glass beads, these floppy toys have been perfectly designed for hugging by a loving new friend. Traditional glass eyes have been replaced with recycled polyester embroidered eyes which give a unique, and playful character to these Eco soft toys. The iconic Keel symbol and hang tag are now formed from card and attached to the toy with recycled polyester thread. Even the sew in label is recycled, and all are manufactured in an ICTI ethical factory. Designed in the UK by Keel Toys we Love to Hug!
