Seedball Wildflower Mixes - Large Gift Boxes

Grow your own beautiful native wildflowers

These giftable Large Seedball Boxes contain seeds to grow beautiful native wildflowers for garden beds and pots. Simply scatter and let nature do the rest!

Each box contains 12 seed balls, each with wildlife-friendly wildflower seeds (see below for plant details). These make for lovely gardening gifts, bee and butterfly gifts, eco friendly gifts, birthday gifts or of course Stocking fillers or Secret Santa gifts. They will work well in window boxes, balcony pots, garden beds and wildlife gardens. It’s time to rewild!

Each seed ball contains approximately 30 wildflower seeds.

One box of seedballss will cover 1 square metre in a garden bed or 3-5 medium sized pots (leave at least 10cm between each ball). Best scattered in Spring or Autumn.

Choose from the following mixes:

Annuals Mix: A gorgeous mix of colourful native wildflower annuals – Poppy, Chamomile, Cornflower, Corn marigold, and Night-flowering catchfly. All will flower in their first Spring/Summer season and are ideal for attracting pollinators and other garden wildlife.

Bee Mix: A mix of native wildflowers that bees will just love! This carefully selected mix is designed specifically to attract solitary bees, honey bees and bumblebees. Each seed ball contains approximately 30 seeds from a mix of Birdsfoot Trefoil, Foxglove, Red Clover, Viper’s Bugloss and Wild Marjoram – all recommended as bee-friendly plants by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. We’ve also added a sprinkling of pollinator-friendly annuals Chamomile, Cornflower, Corn marigold, and Night-flowering catchfly.

Butterfly Mix: A mix of native wildflowers that are perfect for butterflies! This lovely collection of mostly purple, pink and blue flowers is designed to attract butterflies to our gardens, balconies and window boxes and uses only flowers recommended by Butterfly Conservation. Each seed ball contains approximately 30 seeds from a mix of Purple Loosestrife, Forget-me-not, Musk mallow, Red campion and Yarrow, plus a sprinkling of pollinator-friendly annuals Chamomile, Cornflower, Corn marigold, and Night-flowering catchfly.

Garden Meadow: A beautiful mix of native wildflowers that is perfect for pollinators and the most hardy of our wildflower mixes. Garden Meadow is a colour combination of annuals and perennials developed in collaboration with 'River of Flowers'. Each seed ball contains approximately 30 seeds from a mix of Common toadflax, Cornflower, Cowslip, Meadow cranesbill, Musk mallow, Oxeye daisy and Red campion, plus a sprinkling of pollinator-friendly annuals Chamomile, Cornflower, Corn marigold, and Night-flowering catchfly.

Shade Mix: A mix of British native wildflowers that are ideal for shadier areas of your garden and balcony. While these will struggle in total shade (as would all flowers!), this mix is designed for spots which receive only dappled sun or sun for just one part of the day (although will grow equally well in areas of full sun). Each ball contains approximately 30 seeds from a mixture of Bellflower, Forget-me-not, Meadow buttercup, Meadowsweet, Oxeye daisy, Ragged robin and Red campion.

Created by conservation scientists and 100% British made, Seedball is a unique innovation to help more people grow bee and butterfly-friendly wildflowers. They are manufactured in-house using a mixture of UK-native seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder to create a protective casing against seed predators (e.g. birds and ants).

They’re incredibly easy to use - scatter (no digging!) on top of soil, and with rain and warm sun, the seeds will grow!

Emily & Ana, the creators of Seedball, are on a mission to help increase the abundance of British wildflowers and wildlife that depend upon them. They believe that if we can all better use whatever space we have available to us (whether a back garden, balcony, window box, little patio etc) we can together have a hugely beneficial impact on our local ecosystems.
