The Beer Lover’s Cheese Making Kit contains everyting you need to make two varieties of fresh cheese and recipes to incorporate beer of your choice! Enough to make 12 batches of cheese. It's a fantastic gift for any cheese (and beer) lover (make sure you are chief taster!) or have-a-go treat for yourself!

The kit makes 2 types of cheese: Beer Battered Cypriot style cheese (they are not allowed to use the word ‘Halloumi’ as it has a ‘Protected Designation of Origin’ so let’s called this Cypriot Style Cheese!) and ‘ale washed squeaky cheese curds’…eating cheese curds is something more commonly done in North American and Canada – think of Canada’s national dish ‘poutine’.

The Kit not only includes step by step instructions and recipes for a delicious beer batter to be used with your ‘Cypriot Style Cheese’, but also for an exceptionally tasty Mexican Salad to accompany your ‘ale washed’ cheese.

This Kit is a simple and fun introduction to cheese making. It contains all the ingredients you need to make fresh cheese in your own kitchen with no fancy equipment. You’ll be surprised at how quick and simple it is and how good it tastes!

There’s no need to make all the cheese at once though. Stored in your cupboard this kit will last absolutely ages (well over a year) so you have plenty of time to enjoy it and dip in and out of cheese making.

The Big Cheese Making Kit came about through a love of cheese and the curiosity to find out if founder, Ailsa, could make it herself. She discovered you could make cheese at home without any fancy equipment or having to age the stuff for 5 years under your stairs. In fact, you can make it really quickly and be eating it within an hour!

Ailsa became hooked on making cheese and wanted other people to feel the same. After lots of trial and error, lots of focus groups, 100's of pints of milk and countless recipe edits later… The Big Cheese Making Kit was born.

Even the great Mary Berry used one of their Kits on her BBC1 TV show! The Queen liked the Kits so much Ailsa was awarded an MBE for services to the Food Industry.
