Cape Mohair started out in 1991 by making socks. They expanded into blanket weaving and opened a factory in the sleepy coastal town of Plettenburg Bay, South Africa. Their mohair is sourced from a sustainable South African supply and the labour-intensive production process provides many South African jobs, especially in rural areas where it’s needed most. Why we love them: Cape Mohair believe that small things can change the world...and so do we. Mohair loves our planet - it is biodegradable and 100% natural fibre. As well as being cosy soft, it is warm in winter and naturally cool in summer.
